Description: This qualification is taught in our school over the period of 5 days and includes both practical and theoretical work. This course provides the perfect introduction to dog grooming and will allow students to practice the basic yet necessary skills.

318 – Prepare, Style and Finish Several Dog Breeds
This course is suitable for those who are interested in establishing a career in the dog grooming industry as well as dog owners who wish to learn the fundamentals of their canines’ maintenance. This course doesn’t require any experience or prior knowledge. Once you have gained this qualification, you may continue your studies and advance to the next certification.

Description: With over 10 years of experience in managing a dog grooming business, Plush Pooches is the perfect place to complete this course. Students will complete a combination of both practical and theoretical work over the course of the 30 days and will leave with a nationally recognised qualification that will remain relevant throughout their career. Throughout this course, students will be trained in prepping, bathing, scissoring, clipping, nail trimming and hand-stripping also. Students can enrol onto this course with no experience or prior knowledge.

307 – Canine Emergency First Aid
308 – Planning the Operation of a Small Canine Business
By the end of this course, you will feel more confident with your grooming abilities’ and it will equip you with the necessary training to handle any possible circumstance that may arise whilst working in a dog grooming salon. This course is suited to those wanting to further establish their career in dog grooming and perhaps start their own dog grooming business.

Description: This fast-track course allows experienced groomers to gain the iPET Network Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management qualification with a more convenient and flexible schedule. Here at Plush Pooches’ we are understanding of the fact that not everyone is able to come to our Salon to complete their course. This option allows students to gain their qualification in a way that is most suited to them. There are 3 options to choose from which include doing all theoretical and practical assessments online, completing all theoretical work online and doing formal assessments at the salon – with the option of extra face-to-face tuition also. Work can be completed in the students’ own time. This fast-track option is only available for groomers with at least 1 years’ experience.
Option 1: Complete all theory work and formal assessments remotely using your own dogs

Option 2: Complete all theory work remotely whilst doing all formal assessments at the Plush Pooches Dog Grooming Salon, using our dog models. All assessments take place and must be completed in 1 day.

Option 3: Complete all theory work remotely whilst doing all formal assessments at the Plush Pooches Dog Grooming Salon, using our dog models. This option includes an extra 2 days of tuition and 1 day to complete your assessments.

No previous experience or prior knowledge is necessary to enrol onto this course, meaning it is a perfect starting point for those wanting to begin their dog grooming career.

This course will gain you experience in grooming multiple breeds and types of coat as well as handling canine behaviour. The qualification will showcase an understanding of the core fundamentals of being a dog groomer and is a great course to begin your career in dog grooming.

Description: This course is suitable for professionals, trainees and dog owners who wish to become prepared and qualified, should a dog need to be treated in the case of an emergency. The course practically and theoretically covers the most common emergencies seen such as CPR, seizures, treating injuries, dressing wounds, poisoning, hypothermia, allergic reactions, stings, choking and more.
The qualification is valid for 3 years until it expires and should therefore get renewed.

Description: Taster days are a great way of gaining an insight into any of our Level 3 courses. Students can get a taster of the course they’re interested in and ask any questions they have. This will help students know whether they wish to proceed onto one of our regulated courses, such as the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management.
